Stepping the Whitby based Mr Coopers brand up to bring it into line with the establishments amazing offerings.
Mr Cooper's is a Whitby, UK-based coffee house well known for their relaxed ethos, passion for sourcing quality ingredients as locally as possible, and their lush brews and bagels. With an ace range of design-focused lifestyle buys and lush botanics also in the mix, and serious aspirations to grow the business, the Mr Cooper's brand was a design dream.
The owners knew their brand aesthetic was lagging behind the coffee shop's amazing offerings and cosy, on-trend interior, so went for a full rebrand. The brief was to deliver coffee shop branding and menu design that honours where the brand has come from while giving it the visual identity it deserved. Something as warm and inviting as the coffee house itself.
What we delivered was a beautifully simple brand identity built around the green that already lived in the shop interior. Synonymous with the brand from day one, it became the core colour of the palette. Combined with considered typography and a set of bespoke graphic illustrations that communicate at-a-glance exactly what Mr Coopers offers, the result is a brand that finally matches the experience of walking through the door.
The project extended well beyond the logo, covering signage, menus, a loyalty card programme, out-of-home advertising, social media templates, print collateral and stickers. Everything a growing independent coffee shop needs to show up consistently and confidently across every touchpoint.
