Crafting brand and packaging for Ghost Tree, a skincare brand founded by a surfer, designed to nourish the skin of those who love the sea.
Will, founder of skincare brand Ghost Tree approached LULACREATES to work on conceptualising and developing a brand identity and packaging for his new-to-market skincare brand. The product range is targeted at extreme sports lovers and surfers whose skin needs uncomplicated yet effective protection and comfort from exposure to wind, waves & water.
The design challenge was finding a visual language that felt both premium and authentically rooted in surf culture - avoiding the overly clinical aesthetics common in skincare packaging design, while still communicating the quality and efficacy of the product range.
Working closely with Will from concept through to final artwork, LULACREATES developed a type-led brand identity built around the rawness and beauty of surf culture - restrained, confident and tactile. The packaging design uses clean typography, considered colour and minimal graphic detail - nothing unnecessary, nothing missing.
The result is a skincare brand that looks as good as it performs — designed to stand out on shelf and on screen, and built to scale as the range grows.
